Meal Time!

Ring ding ding ding ding! That's the sound of the meal bell!

A quick word on meals. Everyone gets to prepare a meal for 14 hungry skiers! You'll note that there is a $7 meal award charge in the second payment. That is because the best meal takes home a hundred bucks cash! So, do your best.

Dinners should include an appetizer, main course (should include veggies & protein) & desert.

Breakfast should include both carbs and protein. As well as Coffee! Bonus for including some fruit. Sunrise during our time on the icefield is @ 8:45. So, we'll want to be out the door at 8am. So, Breakfast needs to be ready to go @ 7am. (You'll get my vote if you include whipped cream too.)

Here's your meal time slot. Please reply in the comments to this post and let us know what you're bringing & I'll update the post. I love Curry, but I don't really want it six nights in a row......... Let's try to diversify our meals here!

Should be nutritious & delicious......

Sat Dinner Allison
Sun Breakfast Alex
Sun Dinner Brad
Mon Breakfast Grant Pancakes, Fruit & Whipped Cream!
Mon Dinner Jolene Venison Thai Curry
Tues Breakfast Nic
Tues Dinner Ryan
Wed Breakfast Caleb
Wed Dinner Krista
Thurs Breakfast Dennis

Vension Thai Coconut Curry (the correct thai curry this year ;), with Coconut Rice & Ceasar Salad. Chocolate Brownies for desert. Yum!

Note: to all dinner cooks, lets have lots of deserts that include nuts with chocolate. I believe Alex has a huge soft spot for these :)

I recall Mr Lindell excitement encountering walnuts in some hot-from-the-oven brownies:

"Is that a larva?...Oh GOD it's a nut! GRANT!!!"

42 packets of instant oat meal, two cans of honey roasted peanuts (Planters brand...of course.) I will boil the water. Carbs and protein. If you are lucky I will even get cinnamon for your oatmeal.

who knows what concoction we'll come up with, but for sure I want to make a curried squash or carrot soup for an appetizer on Wed's dinner menu. Curried is really the best way to have it, and will warm us up after a good day! So, eat your heart out :)

Okay menu change...It will be curried pancakes or french toast and a side of curried sausage.
